This was a very busy, very stressful week of work for me. I still managed to get out and exercise every day but Friday (I was simply too exhausted and had been working all night). The neat thing about this week was that I started running, had my first outside bike ride of the year, and FINALLY made it to the gym. I now feel as though I’m fully invested in the exercise component of this loss and health challenge.
Looks like I’m finally reaching the point where more normal amounts of weight loss are occurring. Those first few weeks, as overweight as I was, were bound to give me huge losses, but now that my body has shed its extremes of extra weight; it appears I’m in line to lose the 1 to 2 lbs. I anticipated losing healthily each week.
The two nights of leftover pizza, plus the 4 nights eating away from home put the balanced part of the diet to the test. Not enough fruits and vegetables, and one skipped meal (busy) also were not great things to notice in my Nutrition Log. I am pleased with my water intake for the week – right in line with my expectations.

I feel like this isn't much of a competition anymore.
I'm at 211 now, but this week has been horrible timewise. I worked 3 late night shifts on top of my regular job and donated plasma twice...and had mock trial regionals this weekend.
I did manage to walk from my town house to the main library and hit the elliptical machine for 20 minutes this week, so I guess that is better than I have been doing.
I read at WebMD that instead of using just your weight to exhale and push out on your stomach. Once you have exhaled, tigheten your abs. Everything you can pinch is pure fat. Unfortunately, I have plenty of flab to grab.
Regardless of the weight loss to date, my stomach is still rather flabby, as well.
You may not feel like its much of a competition right now, but it's only 7 weeks in, out of 52 total. You'll get there. Busy as you are, hopefully it doesn't stay that way all year.
I'll get the exercise time and water progress posted tomorrow, or early this week. Just no time to finish it up tonight. I do apologize.
Once again the exercise is no problem. We spent the weekend in Davenport at a dance competition so that meant I ate out a lot. Here it is.
Weight +1.0 up to 238
Exercise 6 hours of biking
Thanks for the data, Steve. It is tough to maintain a diet when you are away from home. Still, could have been worse - could have not worked out last week and eaten out all the time.
Only about a week late on getting my exercise and water data on this progress report. I'm never going to get this far behind again.
