This week saw the beginnings of exercise for me. On Tuesday night I went and rode bike indoors – a practice that will be routine from now on. I had great intentions of making it to the gym in the morning this week, but sleep still won out. I’ll get there, hopefully this week. (Cross fingers)
Need to watch the dining out. I’m starting to fall back into the bad habits of the past. Once or twice a week, maximum. It’s so much cheaper – and healthier – to eat at home.
I am pleased to see the weight still shedding. I realize that most of this initial weight loss is due to portion control and attention to diet. Next month I’ll focus on adding the exercise component more completely to the program. From there – and I honestly think I could get to my goal weight early – it will be the challenge of creating a lifestyle to maintain my health.

Exercise challenge
6 hours & 15 minutes
5 hours cycling and 1:15 minutes of swimming.
The exercise is not a problem, now I have to get the food under control.
Wow way to go Josh. You weigh as much as me. I'm at 216 or so. My diet is in the crapper with mock trial and traveling so much lately. I haven't worked out in weeks after a dizzy spell. I hope to get back on the wagon soon.
Steve - Yup. Exercise is going to be your domain. I don't believe I could do near that much in a week - when do you find the time? Congrats on kickin' butt with the biking and even swimming (I'm impressed).
Neal - Dieting would be tough to do if you were traveling as much as you appear to be traveling. Don't feel bad about the not working out; it wasn't until this week that I managed to barely squeak in my 3 hours (2 hours and 2 min. of it on Sunday afternoon).
I think it's fantastic that we are all doing this challenge. I know it's spurred me on to successes I've been struggling to achieve for years now.
